SC is in-network with commercial policies for Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and Straight Medicare, Auto Injuries, Personal Injuries and Workers Compensation. Healthcare Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) are accepted regardless of network status with your insurance carrier.
What is a Doctor of Chiropractic?
A Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) is a professional specialist in the healthcare professional who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, particularly those affecting the spine, extremities and soft tissue conditions. Often time uses a hands-on approach and instrument (Arthrostim) to manipulate and adjust the spine and other joints, aiming to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and enhance overall function. who addresses health problems of the neuromusculoskeletal system. They attend graduate-level health colleges to treat disorders of the bones, nerves, muscles, and ligaments.
What education does a DC receive?
Over 3 years of full-time study focusing on anatomy, physiology, neuroanatomy, and manual conservative treatments after completing undergraduate requirements. To qualify for licensure, graduates must pass 4 examinations from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and complete state specific requirements. Once licensed, Pennsylvania requires chiropractors to attend 24 hours of continuing education every 2 years.
Is Chiropractic treatment safe?
In general, chiropractic treatments carry a very low risk of complication. Patients may experience short-term [24 - 48 hours] local soreness following the initial adjustment. It is important that you discuss any specific concerns with your treating chiropractor prior to receiving treatment.

Minors must be accompanied by a family member adult. Welcome all community members 18 years and older suffering from Acute Pain, Chronic Pain, Automobile Accidents, Slip and Fall, or other injuries leaving you with symptoms of body aches and pain, Nutrition support and Weight Loss.
SC is the only office in Plum Borough who offers the SOFTWAVE Shockwave Service that is a superior service to address pain, inflammation, pre or post-surgical complaints that have responded very well with an advanced therapeutic modality to reach the root cause (cell) and tissue regeneration (stem cell activation)
